The Structured Finance Coalition (SFC) is a nationwide grassroots lobbying network that is set-up to promote, further, and advance the interest of the structured finance industry in Washington, D.C. Initiated by Structured Finance Industry Group (SFIG), the SFC was developed with the goal of strengthening the voice of the structured finance industry in the federal policy arena. The SFC acts as a megaphone for its members voices, helping them speak out against burdensome regulations which threaten to harm their industry. Membership is free and must be renewed annually.
The current political climate presents significant opportunities for much needed regulatory reform, broad-based grassroots advocacy by members of the industry is important now more than ever. Although the Administration and leaders in Congress are focused on relieving the regulatory burden, countless interest groups are in constant competition for their time and attention. For the policy solutions that are so important to our industry to receive any priority on the reform agenda, lawmakers must be made aware of the thousands of hardworking men and women that have made careers in structured finance. They must also be reminded of the many more millions of Americans who rely on the credit structured finance makes available for affording new cars, first homes, and college educations.
